Meet the Robinsons(2007)

This afternoon, went to IOI Mall to watch this movies with my wife and irfan, and twice i fall asleep. This is the first time i slept in the cinema hall...what the hell going on...i'm not recommend it for adults & kids..irfan also say its a boring movie...what can i say more....

The animation was very similar to Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and was decent but not really anything new or groundbreaking. Their characters in the movie is recycled from other movies or other Walt Disney/ Pixar cartoon character. What i can say is there's no orginality and no new character to be proud of...Meanwhile their props such as building and time machine transporter...are interesting...

A lot of the jokes in this movie felt as if they were trying to be funny rather then funny but the Dinosaur really steal the show.

Below some of the reviews from other sites:
"… one of the worst theatrically released animated features issued under the Disney label in quite some time." - The New York Times

"… who knows whether the project is meant to be earnest, ironic, post-ironic, made for adults, made for kids, made to teach lessons, or made to be watched in an altered state?" - Entertainment Weekly
".. A Children's animated film of considerable depth" - Rotten Tomatoes

I learned my lesson, next time, I should check the review from the internet before make any decision to watch the movies.

It was quite fast paced and excellent animation but as mentioned above it doesn't really get anywhere, the plot does buildup rather well but never really takes off. Still a pretty good, colorful movie for kids with a decent story and a positive message behind it. Other than that there isn't much new here. As a conclusion, it's not worth to spend RM21.00 on this movies and give a 2 star out of 5 star.

Africa Trip V -The Final Episode

Bonjour,

This is the last chapter that i will wrote about my trip to Africa. It's an exciting event, give new hopes and lot's of new experience that enrich my knowledge towards communication with other human being. Here are some of learning experiences that can be shared among us:
  1. As a backpacker, you should do some homework about the places that you intend to go. A big mistake that been occured while in Heathrow Airport, is NOT well prepared, apparently we messing around the airport terminal, and 3 to 4 hours precious transit time has been lost. We actually do nothing in London. We learn from our mistake in London and done some homework before visiting goree Island -The Door of No Return. No need to appoint a tourist guide that will cost additional money from your pocket. we also do some research before venture into Paris using the metro.
  2. Stay away the hot weather and "hamatan" wind. the hot weather can make your nose bleeding and "hamatan"(very small particel of dust coming from sahara desert) is not a suitable place for an asthma patient like me. It's not advisable for us walking around the city, but this give us the opportunity to explore the ourskirt of Abuja.
  3. Anywhere you travel, you will hear ghost story. We went to Zuma rock and Gurara waterfall...nothing fancy aboout this two attractions...but near to Zuma rock stand an abandoned hotel reported by local folks that the voice of the spirits disturbing the hotel workers and customers can be heared at night...finally they abondoned the hotel completely....I try to take some video images with my JVC camcoder by zooming it...but until now is unbelievable...there is none that being captured in the tape...a bit scary to hear and view the hotel from the main road....
  4. Sacrifies for its local inhabitants is common practices in this part of the world...they sacrifies anything from an animals blood, goat heads, etc. to their god/spirits at the gurara waterfall or the Zuma Rock. There's still people live in primitive culture and believe the Animism.
  5. Make sure an arrangment being made before making any orders. One good thing here at Abuja are their passion on the art, especially for the sourviner and their culture. Everywhere you can see nigerian proudly wearing their traditional garments called "yoruba". Unfortunatly there aren't any ready made yoruba for me...eagerly to wear it on this year Hari Raya...i went to Wuse Market buying the suitable material..but unmanaged to get a tailor to sewing it.
  6. Their have a superb skill in making painting...the price a bit steep for an outsider and western tourist but still you can bargain for it. The painting is worth of buying in Abuja rather that Dakar. I think irfan painting is much better painting done in dakar, especially in goree Island.
  7. Lag of maintainance in both African country. More obvious when we attend friday pray in so called National Mosque in Abuja. The mosque is in bad condition..The people didn't bother to make sure the mosque in good and clean condition. The smell, dusk, sand and spider web...is everywhere seen in the mosque. But their spirit to done their solat is unquestionable. In abuja, when the time come to solat...the done it in jamaah....everywhere...near a gate of a house..in open field...below a tree..you can name it..in Malaysia..sometime you can see, there are more surau than the jamaah inside it...people tend to solat in their own house by themself. In Dakar, the spirit to attend friday solat in one of their small mosque...make me so humble and small in front of Allah..AlMighty Allah show to me, this black people come in dirty shirt...without slippers,..without proper attire, praying in the sand..the wind blowing the sand..i'm proud to solat beside and with them...this is a true muslim brothers...
  8. Africa Team is the best team i ever work so far...keep up the good work team...for the next trip..most probable i won't be there....hope you all can maintain the good spirits. I'll weill remember and miss your all. Mersi beaucoup...
  9. While writing this article, I'm still in jet lag condition...don't know when it will over.
Mersi, voyez-vous la fois prochaine

Who this Cute Kid?

This cute boys is Adham Adnan, 3 years old and can speak france. Born in Malaysia and being raised in Senegal. Everytime watching his behaviour, remind me to Irfan...

Luckly to Adham, his family create fotopages for him, in early stages of his life....so others can see his growth from another part of this world.

I didn't do the same thing to Irfan, because for me...this turf is not suitable and my life is just to be shared among our family not for the others to see...I'am maybe orthodox about this mattter but this is my life and i planned it in my own ways.

Good luck to Adham and his family....May Allah bless you all.

Mersi beaucoup, for the hospitality and the foods....heeee

Afican that passed through the door of Maison des esclaves (House of Slaves) will never coming back. That the beginning african being exported to other side of the word.
Being advice to wear more suitable shoe, we bought shoes in the street and cost us (10000fra -15000 fra). So try to figure out which shoe belong to me, zero_eff or pearl_yogurt

Afrika Trip III - The Best Episode

Bonjour....
What wonderful episode in my whole life, watching the Eifel Tower in the true naked eyes. Did'nt expected one day, i could walked below this manificient building with a beautiful landscape....a picture talks by itself....enjoyed watching....wallah

Before went to Eifel Tower...we have been given a good advice from elly (our collegue in the embassy)...Do & Do'nt at that place...While a good place to visit....Eifel Tower also have lots of professional pick pocket....including the gypsy girl...
The building surround me is so beautifull, with lots of antique elements, good design and well structured. For an art lover like me, i can't descibe more ...just letting the jaw down...The town is so clean...i can give thumb up to this city.
Why KL river cant be like this river, i enjoyed watching the bots and ferry passing by...its very romantic view ...hopefully someday i can bring my wife along...

Pearl_yogurt with zero_eff having hot chocolate and expresso outside the cafe while Eifel Tower is near by just 5 minutes walk, it's cost us E12 (RM55)...what a expensive lifestyle in Paris. Having a good sun shine is like pampering our body in the hot tub...the temperature around 6 degree...for us coming from Malaysia...it's very cold. The small girl next to me is pearl_yogurt a young and vibrant person...."LAYAN" is like a keyword from her mouth...remind me to one of the anchor in Melodi programme.....she also a good companion in the group....we decided not to go upstairs because the queue is very long and the price a bit steep....

For us...watching & walking around this manificient monument...is a well worth experience.... we prefered to spare the money for buying sourviner for loves one in Malaysia.
Bonne nuit (translated: good night everybody)....bye for now

Africa trips I

Had another trip, this time to Africa country, Nigeria. Its took us 19 hours to arrived in Abuja, capital city of Nigeria. 5 hours transit in London, not enough for us to travel to London town center. We are adviced not to go, because we need to catch another flight to Abuja. Anyway this are some photos while in the airport and in the tubes (underground trains) area.
The train just pass behind us, is the train that transport use from main terminal to terminal 4.
Below are picture me with a fellow cap named FRIDAY. He has 2 children, a girl and a boy. His family still in Lagos. Not sure if he is a muslim or not...but if he is malaysian we can call him Jumaat...emmm good name.
